 Team Tumbleson Joins Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Flower Mound Office, Offering Creative Marketing Techniques View All

Flower Mound, TX (July 19, 2009) – For the past 11 years, Judy and Daryl Tumbleson have been selling real estate in Las Vegas, Nevada, until recently one of the nations’ most dynamic markets. 

They have joined the Flower Mound office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage – Dallas/Fort Worth (CBDFW), bringing almost two decades of combined, award-winning experience to the Dallas/Fort Worth market.

High school sweethearts in Houston, the two parted after graduating, attended different colleges, married different people and had children. He joined the army and flew helicopters in Vietnam, Korea, Hawaii and the other locations in the US. 

They developed Dallas roots in recent years and decided to move back to familiar territory. They stayed in touch through the years and were reacquainted when she took a Grand Canyon helicopter tour in which he was the pilot/safety officer. 

“I was working for EDS in Dallas then,” Ms. Tumbleson says. “We dated for about a year, married at Lakeland Baptist Church in Lewisville, moved to Las Vegas, earned Realtor licenses and joined Coldwell Banker Premier.”

Las Vegas’ recent challenging economy inspired the couple to act on a long-held dream — return to Texas near children and grandchildren and continue with Coldwell Banker, which Mr. Tumbleson describes as “the best brand in the industry”. They found a country home on an acre of beautiful land in Flower Mound and soon after located the nearby Coldwell Banker office.

“It’s a romantic story, and we’re delighted they’ve returned. Judy and Daryl were in the top echelon of 350 agents in Las Vegas so their experience and passion for customer service will serve them well here,” says Melody Kruse, branch manager of the Flower Mound office.

Ms. Tumbleson is the people person, buyer’s agent and public relations specialist. Her husband is the marketing expert and lead generator.

“The Las Vegas market had more than 70 percent of homeowners in upside-down mortgages,” says Ms. Tumbleson. “Dallas has maintained a healthier market than almost anywhere else and our kids were here. So it was easy to move back.”

They believe in high-impact open houses — “week-long events, delivery of hundreds of flyers, querying neighbors about whether they have friends who want to live in the neighborhood, and then a week of open houses. It works like magic,” Mr. Tumbleson says.

Magic is what Ms. Kruse is counting on with her new team. “The market is challenging now, and Team Tumbleson clearly has the wherewithal to meet the challenges and come out on top,” she says.
